Keep the Promise: Young Women’s Empowerment Conference Girl Planning Committee

Did you attend Keep the Promise: Young Women’s Empowerment Conference at the Hyatt this past May? If so, you would be happy to know that planning for the 2013 Keep the Promise: Young Women’s Empowerment Conference has begun with ideas from a talented group of young ladies from the girl planning committee.
The conference will take place on Friday, May 10, 2013, at The Ohio State University in Columbus, where technology will be highlighted during the conference. Yes, the day does fall on a school day, however, we provide information to all the superintendents in the GSOH territory, principals of your school, and give you a school excuse the day of the conference.
The girl planning committee will make decisions on the colleges, universities, and businesses that will participate in the College and Career Fair as well as the workshops that will include topics on S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering Math), Life Skills, and Advocacy and Leadership. Also, the committee will decide on the community service project and entertainment that will perform during the opening session of the conference.
We are still looking for more girls to join the committee. Don’t forget you can use this to earn community service hours!
