Cookie U-CEO

On the evening of April 26th, Twenty-nine of Ohio’s Heartland Girl Scouts will graduate from the Cookie U-CEO Program.  A new pilot program this year, Cookie U- CEO Program allowed girl scouts in grades 6-12 to learn from our outstanding representatives from Little Brownie Bakers, rub elbows with local business women, as well as explore the significance of the Product Program’s Five Essential Skills; Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics. It was during this program that they were given the tools they needed to complete one of the NEW Girls Guide to Girl Scouting Financial Literacy badges or Cookie Business badges.

Forever Green & Giving Service in the Outdoors

We all know that Girl Scouts excel at providing service as part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Most Girl Scouts enjoy volunteering their time or working on projects that improve their schools, neighborhoods, or support a cause they are passionate about. Service hours are a requirement for Girl Scout leadership awards like the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award and giving your time and energy is one of the best ways to develop your planning and leadership skills and do great things for your community.

Doing nothing? Not an option.

Have you ever met a Sneetch? You’ll get to meet one soon! Thanks to a wonderful grant from The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, meeting Sneetch and learning about a powerful new program that I’m excited to bring to GSOH!
