Summer is Here!
This is one of my favorite times of year, when the outdoors become alive with activity. In truth, I love all of the seasons for different reasons, but summer has its own special energy. School is out, the pools are open, day camp and resident camp have kicked-off, and summer is “officially” here on June 21st. The wildlife is busy, too. Familiar animals like cottontail rabbits, birds, deer, and many others are raising their young. Here at Camp K-J, we have ducklings and goslings out at Becky’s pond that are growing like weeds. The weeds are growing too, along with all kinds of other plants, which makes the insects very happy. They are busy pollinating, moving from flower to flower to move pollen around and fertilize plants.
