Power Up – The Word is Spreading!


It’s now been over one year since we’ve brought Power Up to Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, and we’ve already empowered over 1,000 girls to become defenders against bullying behavior! This all thanks to the efforts of all the older girls, adult volunteers, and GSOH staff who have taken the facilitator training and are out in their communities delivering the program to girls!

The Sleeping Baby Dragon


The paper held a warning; "Never wake a sleeping baby." Reminding ourselves that Girl Scouts are courageous and strong, we marched ahead, looking for a bridge, counting twenty paces to a fallen tree, and making a left at the fork in the trail. Excitement built as we neared our destination. What would we find when we got there?

Getting the Dish on Hydration



Summer is finally on its way, and that means that those temperatures are going to start slowly climbing, up, up, and up! While there are many things that you can do in the summer that you can’t do in the winter (swimming outside, wearing shorts, going to summer camp and more), something else you should be aware of us, is how much water you are drinking. It is very important to drink water year round, but in the summer when it is very hot, your body tends to sweat more, and it is up to you to make sure you replace that water!
